What is the RPM Method?
The Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) is an evidence-informed teaching technique developed to help non-speaking and minimally-speaking individuals access academic and personal communication.
RPM works by engaging a person's natural academic curiosity through rapid prompting and open-ended questioning, creating a pathway for learning and communication that bypasses traditional verbal challenges.
- Presumes intellectual competence in every learner
- Creates opportunities for genuine self-expression
- Adaptable to each individual's sensory profile
- Supported by thousands of families worldwide
"Every person has the ability to learn and communicate — they just need the right opportunity."
